What is FOMEMA?

FOMEMA (Foreign Workers Medical Examination Monitoring Agency) is a mandatory medical screening program for all foreign workers entering Malaysia. The exam is conducted at FOMEMA-designated medical centers in Pakistan.

The exam checks for:

  • HIV/AIDS screening
  • Tuberculosis (chest X-ray)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Malaria screening
  • Drug screening
  • General physical fitness
